    i have stayed here several times over the past three years. It is a great location and has a neighborhood feel, within the city. i do think the price is high,compared with a few years ago, but still worth it. The Staff are very nice.

    We had a delightful stay at Hotel del Sol. We chose it because of the availability of parking (FREE), but there was much more to offer. It had a great, central location; was clean and colorful; and had an accommodating staff. Unfortunately, it was too cool for the pool.

    This kitchy little motel stood out from the other chains and seemed more Californian for my family's first trip west. The suites had names. We had a suite that was small but better for our family than a single room. They have free DVD rentals and a light continental breakfast. Their onsite parking is a little tight to get into, so rent a small car! We heard a car was broken into in the overflow lot. Having the heat on blocked out any street noises - the first night it bothered me a bit before I figured it out. We liked being near several bus lines (the 7-day Muni pass was well worth it at least for the cable cars!) but not in the thick of things.

    Great location, very friendly staff and simple clean rooms - i would definitely come back. short walk to shopping, wharf, great restaurants, and the marina.
