When we arrived @ the hotel our room would not be ready until 4 p.m. the front desk man did not offer a key for us to use the indoor pool or explaine where the bathrooms were or anything to help us it was 1pm. He gave me one parking pass when i told him that we had 2 cars he said we only get one pass per room. After some conversation i found out that there were 2 lots i could go to pay to park the other car, again NOT helpful with anything. The location of the hotel is great the room was clean and the housekeeping staff were much more helpful than the front desk. We had a refrid. in the room and it was broken and we had to wait until the next day for repair. The outside sand/foot shower area was really bad a wood slab full of sand that was placed in a bad location. Breakfast was wonderful and a different selection every morning. The pool was very very small. I just feel like for a Hampton Inn they could do so much more to this property to make it a great place on the beach.

We were only at this hotel for one night because the other hotel we wanted for the rest of the weekend was booked for the first night of our trip. After we moved hotels, we wished we didn't have to. We had an awesome room - mostly because of the extra large whirpool bathtub we had - right next to the bed. We loved it! All rooms were oceanfront and had private balconies. Also, the hotel was right in the middle of things - just how we wanted it! The only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast - but it was free and it was a buffet - so we shouldn't have had high expectations.

Bed Bugs!
03/27/2009Yes, i know it was recently renovated and that everything is ""new""... the front desk was very clear on that! and they insisted i must have gotten my over 20 ...
yes, I KNOW it was recently renovated and that EVERYTHING is ""NEW""... the front desk was very clear on that! AND they insisted I MUST have gotten my over 20 bites elsewhere... UNTIL THEIR OWN HOTEL STAFF FOUND THEM IN THE ROOM! (Room number 805 to be exact). After taking an one of many of the actual bugs that were found in my room (by the staff) to a lawyer and all of the pictures of my bites, along with affadavits from my doctor This was taken to court, and settled in my favor! I stayed there from October 10-12, 2008. The staff was very rude when it was reported, and it took several days for anyone from the hotel to return my calls. I ended up having to escalate it to their corporate offices. ""New"" does not mean not infested.... beware and check EVERYTHING if you plan on staying there!

"Like-New" Beachfront Hotel! Refurbished recently (formerly a Days Inn). Right on beach with all ocean view rooms. A few steps outside and you are on a very nice, clean beach with gentle surf. Close by shopping and lots of restaurants. Very nice staff. Free continental breakfast similar to many suite hotels. Freshly redecorated rooms with great beds, high quality towels, in-room refrigerator, indoor pool, free parking, flat panel TVs. On site restaurant with modest prices and decent menu (compared to many local restaurants which are buffet style service). Indoor and outdoor dining options. Good room value compared to others we checked. We had 2 rooms with 4 adults and 2 young grandchildren. We would stay there again and we have no significant criticisms!
