The Hotel was advertised to be located at Grand Canyon Village but appeared to be in remote Tusayan. To our disappointment the hotel lacked any particulatr character as it appeared to be a huge "tourist factory", processing the largest possible amount of tourists a day. Although staff was extremely friendly and helpful, this wasn't what we were looking for. If we'd known in advance we'd preferred another place even if more expensive. Rooms were clean and comfortable but did not have an operable window towards the outside but only towards the covered atrium -at least when we were there in the Winter season-, allowing not much fresh air and quite some of noise from the indoor pool area.

At first look at the room it was nice, however it was not worth the money at all. The door didn't close all the way and let cold air in, the show dripped water throught out the night, and the bed was rock hard. They were to proud of their food and amenities, yet had to nerve to offer to sell used items like pillows and towels. I was afraid to use their shampoo or soap, worried they may charge.

We were traveling from Sedona so this was an excellent spot to stay overnight before entering The Park the next day. The rooms were spacious and clean and a pool is always a bonus when traveling in the summer with kids. The real "find" is to stop in Williams at The Singing Pig for lunch on your way up!
