Accomodations: The drainage in both bathrooms was a problem. Both of the sinks, the showers, and the commodes drained really, really sloooowly. For instance, taking a shower meant standing in about 3"" of water, due to the slow drainage. Also, the ceilings in the bathrooms and hallways are very low -- about door height. I'm 5'7"", and I could easily reach up and touch them. The ceilings were normal in the bedrooms and the living room. The air ducts apparently needed cleaning, because the air vents had blown black residue onto the ceilings in every room, to a distance of about 1'-2'. Security: THIS IS A MAJOR CONCERN. Please be aware that there is public access to the beach through the middle of the resort grounds. There is a gate on the resort side, and a guest is supposed to have to insert their room card to get through. This is apparently designed to keep guests safe, by keeping people who aren't staying at the resort out. Unfortunately, the lock on the gate was BROKEN when I stayed there. This allowed anyone to enter the property and loiter around the hallways directly outside of the guest rooms. That's what happened to me. I was followed to the beach and watched by a man who'd been loitering around the hallways. I had to call Security to walk me back to the elevators. The Security guard casually mentioned they were aware that the lock was broken. Why they'd done nothing about it, I'll never know. Take note, there are a lot of overgrown plants around the resort, and especially lining the walkway to the beach.

Large, clean rooms (would sleep four quite comfortably), full bath and separate (large) vanity, and very quiet property--able to hear the ocean clearly. Pools were great as was the grill for that area--burgers and onion rings are to die for! Pleasant staff, including managers. All restaurants on island less than three miles--easy bike ride on paths. Need to upgrade bedding--mattress very hard, uncomfortable and the down pillows, while nice, don't offer much head/neck support. We bought our own pillows after the first night. Price point keeps the party crowd away--popular with retirees (and occasionally their grandchildren).

Over-priced and certainly OVER-RATED. Room simply appointed. Bathroom marginally clean, vent lint and coffee stains on door. Do Not Disturb sign was displayed, Front Desk called to see if we wanted room serviced. Defeats the purpose of the Do Not Disturb sign! Awakened at 8:30 on departure day. Management allowed maintenance to replace sliding glass doors above us. With 50% occupancy rate, this is absurd. Not smart enough to put people where not working. Management refunded meager $20 for inconvenience of early wake up.

This hotel is very difficult to get reservations at. I have been trying over a year but now I see why. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and I would not dine anywhere else but this hotel. The views are to die for and my suggestion is to get the breakfast package which allows you to eat at their buffet. I was immediately upgraded when I came to the hotel from a resortview to a partial oceanview. Which was nice the rooms were very big and the marble bathroom was beautiful. The only negative thing I saw was a stain on the carpet.
