dependable service & great location

Quiet!

The rooms in the rear of the hotel appear to be a 1970's/early 80's vintage. The decor is dated but I didn't care what the room looked like... I just want a quiet place to get some sleep. While some of the doors had nearly an inch of space beneath them, the rooms were quiet and fairly clean. They are far enough from Main Street at the entrance to be shielded from the noise of traffic on the busiest street in town. Some col shops are nearby for some small town shopping, and Main Street holds several cool small restarants.
There are newer hotels in Cedar City but I find myself returning to the El Rey because the location is convenient for the conference I attend on the college campus. The El Rey is close enough that I can walk a few blocks on tree-lined streets to my conference. -
