Upon check-in we settled into our room only to discover that our beds were made without a linen change. One of the beds was full of black dog hair, the other white dog hair. It was clear the dogs had been sleeping in the beds and the hair was embedded in all of the linens. The floor had not been vacuumed. When I asked the front desk man if perhaps housekeeping had thought the previous guests were staying another night, he was sure this wasn't the case (not comforting). He also let me know that since they were all booked he couldn't give us another room and that he was short staffed (he was the only one on besides the person he was training) and so he could give us the clean linens but we would need to change the bedding ourselves. Had there not been an event taking place in the city that night, which had all of the hotels booked up, we would have left. But instead we tiptoed around our very stained and dirty floor and tried to forget how filthy the beds were. For all of this the hotel offered us a tiny, tiny unnoticeable room discount. I wouldn't stay here again even if it were free. The pictures they post online must be from when the hotel was built or they are the standard photos used by all comfort inns because this location has many years of wear, and pet guests, on it. Unless you see guests posting that they have redone the place and have proper staffing levels now, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

10/29/2008Hotel staff very helpful. easy check-in. room was clean and bed comfortable. breakfast is well presented with a good choice. will certainly stay there again.
