Whenever I go to Hampton I stay at the Courtyard. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It is located near many places to eat within walking distance and when the Mall is completed it will be another great asset to the area. Their breakfast in the morning is one of the best I've had at this type of hotel.

We want to Thank you for a great stay,""Thank You"" Our room was beautiful and the service was great. Everyone was so good to us and others,even the new lady training was great and Tylar,your the best.Very easy to get to the beach,and breakfast was real good,needed sheets for sofa bed and they were there within 5 mins.Found out they were there all the time I just didn't look good enough.We will stay there again when we go back.

We went to Virginia Beach to spend a week with our daughter's family, and wanted a suite to save on the eating out expenses. The Courtyard by Marriott is one in a cluster of hotels at that exit. We were disappointed to find that we had a largish room with a sofa bed - definitely NOT a suite and certainly not the ""Quality Suite With 1 King Bed And Sofabed"" that we paid for. The bathroom was small and poorly laid out. The door hit the toilet when opened. The desk chair had seen better days, and sank slowly as you sat in it. The mattress was no longer firm. The very small pool was closed, although the weather was fine. The spa was comfortable, but overdue for draining and cleaning. There was sand in the bottom and chemical marks on the decorative tile, plus no towels on the towel rack. The property is smoke free, meaning no smoking in the rooms or hallways, but the odor from the cleaning chemicals more than made up for the smell and kept both of us coughing all week. On the positive side, the wired high-speed internet worked flawlessly, and we were able to open a screened door to get fresh air. Being beside an exit balanced being across from the laundry and minimized our walking through the excessively perfumed hallways.
