Hotel was very basic and served our need, but barely. The parking situation was terrible and unsafe and honestly illegle, so have a real small vehicle. The rooms were ok and the staff friendly, but this one still has the old sign and rightfully so. The city and the hotel is under construction so do not count on your road GPS to get you there, as you must use old common scense to find it, hints the location rating. If you are planning to visit Sequoia National Park - It was a decent location.

We stayed here on the way to Sequoia. The hotel is between liquor stores and massage parlors and the cops were there both when we checked in and again in the morning. Our room never got cool enough and was dingy and dark. Worse, there were newer and cleaner hotels off rte 99 at Prosperity (where we got off to come to econolodge).

No one was at front desk for check in. Had to call the hotel on my cell phone. Bed was hard as a rock, didn't sleep a wink. Other than that, no problems.
