Cranky front desk lady who was ""...already sick of the tourists""; exterior of hotel looked very run down with pieces of the siding falling off; all the exterior corner pieces of the hotel were rotting and falling to the ground; the hot tub was still being repaired for the last two weeks according to the front desk lady; door key cards did not work well; cigarette trash containers on the exterior of the back door is at nose level as you are trying to get your key card to work - extremely smelly!!; there was still microwave meals in the fridge that had not been cleaned out from the previous guests.

My husband and I took many hours going over hotels and prices!! We read Gray Wolf Inn and suites reviews and decided to take a chance. We have two small children and wanted something with a kitchen and seperate sleeping areas. We were pleasantly surprised when we finally got to the Hotel (the ride took a little longer than expected due to the closing of the East entrance). The staff knew who we were and made sure everything was fine after our long ride. The room was very neat and clean. The staff was exelcent and they are fixing up more of thier rooms. The best part of the Hotel was the location, right outside of the park. It was so convient to spend hours enjoying Yellow Stone and still get the kids their naps out of a car. I would highly refer this hotel to anyone who wants to stay near enough to Yellow Stone to see as much as possiable. TEN stars for sure!!!

Originally booked into another property, but upon arrival, sign on door stated property closed and we were directed to the Gray Wolf. We were pleasantly surprised at the conditions as the reviews had been less than promising.Found the property to be clean and quiet and the heated underground parking was a plus this time of year.Breakfast was fine for us as we like lite fare before starting a day on the trails, area was clean and supplies well stocked. Found staff to be friendly and willing to help. The bed in our room was comfortable and the room clean and spacious. Would recomend this hotel to anyone staying in West Yellowstone.

Front Desk was friendly but not overly informative. Pool was green. 1 bedroom executive suite was OK in cleaniness, spartan. Old TV with 10 channels. Couldn't get anything local or even in Bozeman, MT or other nearby cities. Continental breakfast was dull and tasteless, plan on going out. Free wireless internet is nice, room is quiet. Towells remind me of a YMCA. Bed is horrible ---- we're calling it the TACO BED, folds you up into the middle. Hot Tub is hot but lacks jet power. Might as well have been a bath tub. Won't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it unless they update and upgrade the rooms. Replace the beds, bedding & TV!
