I have stayed here twice now, and plan to do so again this year. Very frendly staff. I didn't notice the smell from the smokers. I have always enjoyed my stay at this motel, and am Looking forward to it again this year and many to come.

Two bad experiences in a row - that's enough

Both stays the breakfast promised was virtually GONE by 8 am in the morning and never replenished. I asked when checking in for my second stay and the desk person assured me that it was due to a certain group that had been there the last time and that had been ""fixed"". Obsiously not. The room was extremely musty smelling and I had to leave the window open all night to offset the smell. I faced the highway and was near the front door, so between the highway and parking lot noise and the smell from the smokers outside the front door, it was a no win situation. The non smoking rooms are directly accross the hall from the smoking, so there is not a lot of seperation from the smell. Probably my fault for not taking a while to inspect the room before checking in and leaving for my scheduled event. Arriving back at midnight to the smell, sounds, and then waiking to no breakfast pretty much was the end for me.

03/12/2008The front desk person was very good, friendly and most helpful. she accomodated me by changing my room because the smoking rooms are directly across from the non-smoking rooms ...

She accomodated me by changing my room because the smoking rooms are directly across from the non-smoking rooms Fortunately the motel was not full and I was a few rooms away from the smokers when relocated. Even the front lobby smells like an ashtray
When the front desk directed me to a restaurant for dinner (only okay), she forgot to tell me that right next door to the restaurant was the famous Zimmy's Cafe (where Bob Dylan memorabilia is). This is the one thing that I know of that Hibbing is famous for besides mining and the Greyhound Bus Museum.
