We were pleasantly surprised by the accomodations. The free breakfast was great. The room was clean and spotless each day we returned. The location was convenient to the airport and Monterey. We would choose it again.

I guess you get what you pay for, though ... The motel was located close to Monterey, easy to find. The beds were very comfortable (firm). No pool, but that was fine for us, and the building appeared a bit run down on the exterior. Rooms were clean, which was actually quite surprising. Had a fridge and micro in the room, and HBO! The advertised breakfast was weak, though. Costco muffins (if you got there early enough), only fresh fruit was Granny Smith apples, both the fruit juices and cereals were kid-type and sugary .. no 1/2 & 1/2 for the coffee. Maybe we're just picky. but I couldn't bring myself to start off the morning on a sugar high, so ended up buying our own fruit and breakfast snacks, along with coffee off site each day. Ended up paying about $each day for that (we stayed for three days).

We found the rooms to be relatively clean. Not outstanding yet appropriate value for money. The only problem we found was that their were no Air Conditioners in the room. Lucky for us that the weather was not overly hot or humid. It is relatively close to the Monterey Aquarium 5 mins drive. I would be happy to stay here again. One final note, was that the toilet was loose and it felt like you were going to fall off everytime you sat on it.

We stayed in Bay Breese on 11/27/2008 to visit our granddaughter and family. The room was clean. We checked in about 5:30 PM. The front desk personnel were very nice and the room itself had a small refrigerator and a microwave. The ice machine was right around the corner. The only thing was the TV remote would not change the channels so we had to do that mannually, but the TV worked just fine.

Great value for the Monterey area. The room had been recently remodeled and had granite counters in the bath area and tub/shower. A small refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave, & hair dryer was included. It was a quiet room, clean, and no traffic to hear. Usually in areas like Monterey there is alot of outside noise. Here it was quiet. The location was a little further away but you go in the morning to the Wharf and come back at night. It had easy access to the highway. Close to grocery, Cost Co etc. The staff was friendly and helpful. Plus, I connected my laptop, clicked the Wifi and found EconLodge easily; no username or password needed, and no interruptions. (No computer in lobby, so bring yours) Small breakfast in the lobby and the KING BED was GREAT. Lots of pillows too. Yes, I'll go again.
