  We stayed there over Thankgiving weekend. Very noisy. People next to us played strange music all night, every night, won't answer their door or stop playing the music. The walls are paper thin. It is also a student off campus residence, so lots of all hours noise. Parking lot is big, so plenty of room to park. Located next to a park with loads of homeless people.

  I agree with the other reviews. I was very disappointed. The rooms are very out-dated and worn, the security chain was broken (on a room with exterior doors), and there were stains around the commode. In my opinion, this is NOT a 3 star hotel - we will NOT be returning. A side note: this hotel is no where near the Santa Cruz University which was our understanding.

  This place is old, inside & out. Our room was clean but was NOT worth the $100 plus amount we paid. The room was the equvilent to an old outdated motel. Oh yeah, this hotel is also used as a dorm for the students of UC Santa Cruz. It was pretty noisy with doors slamming and people running down the walk ways in the late hours. Find another place to stay.

  We had a great time in Santa Cruz, and at this hotel. Rooms were clean, food was terrific,staff was very helpful. Kids loved the pool and I loved the pool side tiki bar & grill. Conveinient location!
