Room was great. Front desk was friendly. Had non-smoking king room in the newer building. Did have to carry bags to 2nd floor, no elevators. No free continental breakfast, and prices in restaurant were high. Two of us ate at McDonalds for the cost of one at restaurant. Overall the hotel is a little pricey, but with the location is to be expected.

Kayenta is in a remote location on the outskirts of Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. We arrived early but were not able to get into our room till late afternoon. Around the outside of the hotel there were signs saying "Do not feed the animals". There are ownerless dogs that roam around the hotel which is the biggest one in the area (two others). In the room bathroom sink there was a bug and there were two more before we left. There is no cell phone reception, nor internet connection. A credit card call of 4 or 5 minutes was about $* and I was charged twice as I was cut off. The phone company said they would rectify it. The room was adequate and the personnel friendly but it was definitely not worth the money.
