We decided to stay at the Red Lion based on the reviews and because we were traveling with a puppy. This was my first time traveling with a pet, so maybe ""pet-friendly"" means you have to accept a lower standard, I don't know. What I do know is that the room did not look very clean (stains everywhere), the shower did not drain, and the room service pizza was the worst pizza I have ever tasted in my life. To be fair, I did not complain to the management because it was late when we got in and we were exhausted. We just slept & hit the road (without showers). To leave off on a positive, the hwy access is good and the courtyard was nice.

We decided to stay at the Red Lion based on the reviews and because we were traveling with a puppy. This was my first time traveling with a pet, so maybe ""pet-friendly"" means you have to accept a lower standard, I don't know. What I do know is that the room did not look very clean (stains everywhere), the shower did not drain, and the room service pizza was the worst pizza I have ever tasted in my life. Hotel room was clean. Both the roll away bed and mini fridge were in the room ready to go when we checked in. Hotel is located perfectly for Kool April Nites cruise. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The service was good but the food was outstanding. We had breakfast with waffles omelets and fresh fruit. Everything was cooked perfect and fruit was very fresh. No need to eat breakfast anywhere else. We actually liked it better than Black Bear Diner that was down the street. The gym was also a pleasant surprise having 4 treadmills and 4 elliptical trainers along with a multi station weight machine. All equipment look fairly new. Overall a good experience.

Shuttle is a joke.

They advertise that they have an airport shuttle, but if you ask to utilize this amenity you are a complete inconvenience. Either they don't have enough staff or they just plain don't want to help you out. If you don't mind being an inconvenience to the staff at this hotel please stay here.
