We just needed a place to sleep for the weekend, nothing fancy or special. The hotel provided the bare necessities, a bed and tv. It was a nice surprise that the rooms had a small refrigerator and microwave, especially since we had a 17 month old child with us. The front desk clerk was very courteous and helpful. The continental breakfast was kind of lacking, just cold cereal, pre-packaged pastries, no fruit, but a make-your-own waffle machine was nice. It was kind of off the beaten path but still fairly close to shopping. It didn't really matter to us though since most of our time was spent at Laguna Seca Raceway. Overall for a simple, inexpensive place to crash this hotel fits the bill, but next time we will stay closer to Monterey.
