Stayed there for 3 days & loved the place. Comfortable beds, nice staff, free bicycles made getting around easy! The little things added were priceless, a bag with linen water, ear plugs & sleep mask was cute as can be. The food in the restaurant was very good, not to pricey. Having a refrigerator & microwave made it easy to keep the complementary water cold. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

My daughter, granddaughter and I came to Portland for a concert at the Rose Garden. We had a fabulous room on the 10th (top) floor that overlooked the city. It was only about a 5 minute walk to the Rose Garden (safe even at night). The pool was a salt water pool so our eyes didn't burn. You can tell this is an older hotel but they have upgraded the rooms with high end upgrades and they are very beautiful. Bed was comfy. This is where I will stay for every concert!

Made a last minute trip to Portland, and chose this hotel as part of a package deal with purchase of a flight. I definitely would have spent the few extra dollars for the Marriott. Staff was courteous, little to no parking. No valet available. Shuttle would have been provided for my return to the airport, except the schedule doesn't start until 5am, and could not accomodate my early departure, and had to pay for a cab instead. The evening manager was very polite to schedule the cab, and without a request, even made a follow-up call to my room to confirm it was scheduled. Business Center? It's just two computers and a printer (which was out of paper..) stuck in a corner.. Refrigerator in room, but a bottle of water would have been a nice touch. In the early morning, I wanted to take a cup of coffee to go, but only had glass coffee cups available, and I didn't want to be billed for a missing coffee cup! The pillows on the bed were fantastic, plenty to choose from! As others mentioned, it was very convenient to the Lloyd Center (a TAX FREE MALL!!) and the Rose Garden, but inconvenient to get to the hotel on a Trailblazers game night - Rose Garden Arena, traffic was as issue. Lastly, the security of the room was questionable. I checked into my room, unpacked, and when I was leaving for dinner I noticed the door didn't actually close behind me! It didn't latch into the lock position. Made me a little nervous. The restaurant was serving some unheard of entree, and noticed noone was dining in the restaurant, so I decided to go elsewhere for dinner. Bottom line, unless you like the deal, stay somewhere else worthwhile.

thanks. the hotel was on the northeast side of portland, oregon and across the river from downtown. it is a 10 minute walk to the loyd shopping center, and the same to the convention center and the rose athletic center. the staff was always helpful and courteous. their shuttle was always available to take you to the downtown, airport, or any where else for free ! the food in the hotel restaurant was of excellent quality, prices were reasonable, and the service was great. the rooms were large, clean, and well appointed. the fitness center had free weights, cardio equipment and a universal machine. i would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return.

We had a great time at the Crown Plaza, it was better than our expectations for a hotel that wasn't even a four star. The rooms were nice, large flat screen TV's. The service was great, they brought up real cream in the morning when we asked for coffee. They were helpful with restaurants in the area. They also sent a shuttle to pick us up @ 7am and let us check in early no charge (per space avail.). They also game us complimentary drinks from the bar for being a few minutes late with the shuttle. They were easy to get a late check out for a half day fee, last minute - and they set up a shuttle to the airport at the time we needed. We didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant, but we did order room service. Breakfast left much to be desired, but the lunch was great. Our event was at the Rose Garden - so we were within walking distance, but we also could catch the MAX light rail within a few blocks and get to downtown within minutes. IT was a great hotel and i would definately stay there again. On a final note, the bathrooms were a little tight, but they were nice so it made up for it.
