I felt pampered! Beautifully decorated, clean spacious room. Large refrigerator, two sinks, new modern fixtures, natural soaps, impeccably clean, warm swimming pool, comfortable lawn chairs, new exercise and spa room, large private hot tub, strong jets and cool breeze on your face, free breakfast, friendly staff...a wonderful, restful experience.

Friendly and helpful front desk and housekeeping staff, clean rooms, free wi-fi, laundry room access, cable tv w/hbo, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, comfortable bed, nice and quiet for sleeping. Was a good base for activities in Whiskeytown Lake, Shasta Caverns, Castle Crag, Turtle Bay, and Trinity River. It's convenient to hwy 5 but not so close that you hear noise. Chinese, Mexican restaurants and coffee place in walking distance. Coupons for free full breakfast at restaurant in driving distance. Air con had a weird smell, but that was the only slightly bad thing, and we got used to it. Overall a great value.

Although it's near other hotels and a few other restaurants, it's not on a "strip" and the mall area is a short drive away. The restaurants near it were practically deserted at 6 p.m. on a Wednesday night, which made me wonder. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, but that's about all there is worth mentioning.
