From the moment we arrived to the Marriott Vacation Villas, we were impressed. The girls at the front dest were very friendly and accomadating. The resort was beautiful and the entire staff was very friendly. Our Villa was clean, huge with a beautiful Kitchen, dining room, living room, den and bathroom(huge)The pool was calm and offered an abundance of fresh clean towles daily. There were tons of chairs and umbrellas for all of the guests. The golf was priced fairly and the greens were well taken care of. The main pool would offer tons of scheduled activities and tons of people, excitment, alchohol etc...but we were in the Genises section which was perfect for us-quiet and relaxing with door to door shuttle if we wanted to visit the mail pool. Location was great close to Ralphs,Hwy 111, The River etc... we are definitly going back real soon and bringing the kids for sure! Absolutely Perfect in all areas!

I was staying wth some family in LA and we went to Palm Desert for 2 nights. First of all, i have never been to a desert, or seen a desert (except for tv!) in my life, all i can say is WOW! The scenery is amazing, and the temperature was great! So we got to the hotel and our room wasnt quite ready (we were early), but it was no problem as we just relaxed by the pool for an hour or so! Once we got to our room I was so pleased with how clean they were, and very spacious. The short holiday was basically to just relax and do nothing, so thats what I did...and got a tan!

Our family of five (kids 7,9,11) has stayed here twice now (both times during New Years week). I have to say we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this resort. We had a free week both times (long story), but were still reluctant to book a holiday around an accomodation we may not be happy with as we have to fly to get there. The great thing about this particular timeshare property is it's located right beside the J.W. Marriott Hotel which adds to the nearby amenities. -2 Bedroom Units are spacious and nicely decorated, no bugs inside or out were an issue for us -Grounds are beautiful -Very spread out so never feels too crowded -Many pools located throughout with towel service -Friendly staff for most part -Amenties/toiletries were provided -Maid service is available for nominal fee -if you don't like the time they're coming, just call and they will come at your requested time. -Lots of activities for kids,ping-pong, pool tables, chess, kids club activities, bike rentals, free hour of tennis each day (very nice), every other outdoor sport activity could also be found (equipment rentals all for a nominal fee) -excellent mini golf at JW Marriott Hotel (nearby) -Restaurants at nearby JW Marriott Hotel (Mikados was great for kids), Starbucks in lobby of Hotel -Concierge available -Restaurants, shopping, groceries all nearby -Prior to going we requested top floor and an end unit - all requests were granted. (It goes without saying,if you're worried about noise-get the upper floor!) - we've never had a noise issue for the record.

We stayed at the Marriott Desert Villas II with Virgin Holidays (UK) for 2 weeks. We paid the extra to have a 1 bedroom suite. It was absolutely huge! Everything was spotless. The views of the golf course and the mountains in the background were lovely. The whole complex is well maintained. The Palermas Pool is very nice. the complex has a number of pools but this is the main one with a bar and cafe - X at the bar is fantastic, a real hoot. The housekeeping team came in every day and we were given fresh towels and toiletries. The apartment had everything you need - wahing machine tumble drier, dishwasher, and the best bit.. a whirlpool tub big enough for 2!! The market place is handy for small groceries, and the onsite gym was ok. All the staff were very friendly. The heat was intense though, so be warned if you stay here August time.. over 100 most days and in fact as we drove from LA to the resort, as the evening drew in, the temperature was getting hotter and hotter - you know what a weirdness this is if you come from the UK.. to start at 80 in LA at 4pm and then at 9pm in Palm Springs it was 106... it was amazing!! take a trip up the palm springs aerial tramway, and if you can take a couple of days to drive out to the hoover dam and the grand canyon - superb!! would recommend this resort to anyone!!

Our first week was in the lock-out portion which we found confining and needed up-dating. On the positive side they did honour our request for an upper, golf course view unit. The second week we moved into the full one bedroom unit which was spacious. It also required up-dating. Was disappointed that it did not have a newer model television nor were there bathrobes (we had these at the Marriott in Las Vegas while staying with friends). Had to request laundry soap ,soap and shampoo. Compared to other high-end time accomodations we have stayed in, the facilities were lacking. As a 2 week guest I expected the cost of the golf to be reasonable. It was not. The staff were very accomodating and friendly. We will not stay at this Marriott again as the room rates were excessive without offering good facilities.
