  An accidental find, and a wonderful experience. We stayed two nights in May and are returning in June. The gardens are exceptional, as are the staff. Upon arrival we were greeted by name, and offered a glass of wine (despite arriving after the evening reception). The Sisely room was cozy with a fireplace and french doors opening to a deck overlooking the ""Babbling Brook"" The linens were first class. The food was wonderful-delicious breakfasts, generous evening receptions, and fresh-baked cookies. The street traffic is a bit noisy, but it is easy to dismiss it given the setting. The Inn is within a comfortable hiking distance of the wharf. The price is very reasonable considering the beautiful setting, the quality of the room, the exceptional service and the delicious food. We are looking forward to future visits.

  The breakfasts offer better than your standard fare anywhere else. Through a mixup, I got switched into a room more appropriate for honeymooners than a single guy, but it was still very nice. Beautiful setting, too; road noise on Laurel Street, but seemed to vanish after 10 pm.
