  Our family found our stay in the cabins at Emerald Forest of Trinidad absolutely wonderful! The cabins offered us a chance to have most of the comforts of home while surrounded by the wooded peace and quiet of a Redwoods campground. Our two-bedroom cabin was spacious, clean (maid service came daily), and very comfortable. In addition to the full kitchen and bath, there was also cable TV in two rooms. There was space of the floor and tables for play and very comfortable beds/couch with plenty of blankets and pillows (the heaters worked great.). To make things even more comfortable, there was a laundry room in the building next door. Directly across from the cabins is a huge wooded playground and ball field, which was always full of kids from cabins and campsites, so our sons had playmates all the time. There was also an arcade and ball/game rentals from the office (which doubled as a store). The campground was beautiful and full of "hiking trails" and streams for our boys to explore. Emerald Forest of Trinidad was less than 2 minutes from shopping, restaurants and five minutes or less to 4 great beaches.
