I chose the Eagles Lodge Motel because first and foremost it offered me the best price and was available for the dates that we visited Acadia National Park. Other considerations also were the reviews from other travellers and the motel's own description of their place. So far, everything that was described stayed true so we were really please. I came with my husband & 2 adult daughters and we were lucky to get a room with 2 queen beds which I think is not the standard with most hotels/motels. Our room was on the 2nd flr which was non-smoking. The staff at the desk were nice. Our room was clean, had a fridge & micro-wave. They also provided a lot of helpful information for their visitors. Breakfast was a nice touch with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juices (orange & cranberry). They also have donuts, muffins, and several choices of cereals. All in all, Eagles Lodge provided us a place to rest as we visited Acadia. It might not be 5 star but they provided 5 star service to their customers. The only thing that I would request for now is for the motel to add hair dryers to the room. But everything else is fine.

I stayed one night, arriving about 10:30PM. A 24-hour desk is very convenient. Room on 2nd floor was quiet (off-season, though), clean, and comfortable. Fridge, Microwave, lots of TV channels. Comfortable bed with firm and soft pillows. Wi-fi signal to room was rather weak, but that was off of my phone, which necessarily has a small antenna. A laptop would likely have done better. Conveniently located on the Bar Harbor road, just a few hundred feet from Route 1. I'll stay here again.

We were just staying one night before taking the ferry from Bar Harbor. It was far too expensive a room considering the quality of the play and I would certainly not stay again. We had a no-smoking room yet the room clearly had been a smoking room considering the smell. The rooms were very small and outdated. The advertised free breakfast was basically coffee, milk and cereal. ...so short or long-trip I would certainly not recommend this hotel considering the number of options you have in the area at the same price.

It was fine for a quick stay overnight, but not a place I would stay for a long period. We normally stay with family when we are in town, but it was more convenient to do it this way. If it weren't for the discount through the travel agency, we probably would not have stayed.
