Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, newly renovated and nicely decorated. Walls are a bit thin but your neighbors would have to be pretty loud for you to hear. Felt completely at home and safe. All they need is a hot tub and everything would be perfect.

My wife and I stayed here after a winter backpacking trip to Lassen in February 09. We "splurged" with a suite because it was the price I was expecting for a normal room. The room was great. A huge bed with great linens, a couch, kitchenette, and nicely sized bathroom. Having read the previous reviews, I was listening for the paper-thin walls, but it was not a factor, although this may be due to staying there during off-peak season. In general, we loved the room, especially for the price and intend on staying there again should our travels bring us back to the northern Central Valley.

We found the service to be poor and our room was dirty. This pattern continued with breakast. I have stayed at other Hamptons and seems like this place does not offer the same stuff, the food was old and tasted bad...not much varity. I guess they are cutting costs in all the wrong places. We will never stay here again.

If you're looking for a good night's sleep...then keep on driving. We made the mistake of staying here, and it was a disappointing way to end our road trip. Paper-thin walls will ensure that you get little sleep here. The hotel looked nice enough from the outside, and we read up on the reviews. ""Five happy faces, must be a decent place,"" we concluded. We checked in, arrived in our room, and plopped ourselves on the bed, tired after a long day's drive. We determined that it was possibly the world's most comfortable bed. Much later that evening, someone checked into the room next to us, and for the next hour we listened to every conversation they had, every footstep they took, and every channel they flipped on their television. Once they went to sleep, so did we, only to be awoken again at 5:00am with more talking, laughing, walking, and channel surfing. At that point, getting any more sleep was hopeless, so we packed up, grabbed breakfast, and left. On our way out, we told the front desk about the paper-thin walls. They were apparently already aware of the problem, and after I prodded them for a refund, they gave us 20 bucks off the room. I guess that's all a good night's sleep is worth. Sorry, Hampton Inn, your hotels are usually very nice, but until you solve the noise issue, we cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

Traveled through Red Bluff when coming down I 5 to California. The hotel was easy to find just off the freeway. The room was great. Wonderful, comfortable beds, the bathroom sparkled and had all the neccesary amenities.. The hot breakfast food did not impress me. Lukewarm and kind of dried out but why complain? There were plenty of other things to fill you up so you certainly did not have to start out your day hungry. There are not too many interesting places for dinner close by. This was my first time at a Hampton Inn and I will definately try the hotel again in another city.
