This is a hotel that I will recommend to anyone staying in Victoria. We stayed in a one bedroom accomodation, with full kitchen and felt like we were in a condominium. The basic essential cooking utensils necessary to prepare a full meal were there. The daily breakfast in the first floor common area helped me gain a few extra pounds that easily could have been avoided if I had chosen the lower calorie items. The location of the hotel is excellent while removing us from the busiest of streets yet so close to everything that there was no need for a car while in the central city. The staff is shockingly pleasant and helpful. If only every hotel had these employees to make all their guests feel so attended to. We stayed the week of Christmas and never felt that any employee would rather be doing something else. This hotel is family, pet, and gay friendly. We met interesting people from place near and far.

Really enjoyed this boutique hotel. Not too big, Great location - just one block away from the inner harour. Lovely, comfortable rooms with flat panel tvs and full kitchens. Great views from upper levels and very friendly, helpful staff. I will make sure and book here for my next business or pleasure trip to Victoria. LM

I have never felt compelled to write an online review, but in the case of the Oswego Hotel, I wanted to share all of the great things about this boutique hotel. First of all, our 1 bedroom suite definitely didn?t feel like a hotel room at all. The hotel designers and staff have taken care of many details?from the apples in the room to the softness of the sheets to the French press in lieu of a drip coffee maker?to make the hotel?well?less ?hotel-like?. To that end, they have definitely succeeded. Our stay there felt more like we were in a friend?s upscale loft than a hotel room.

Some of the amenities include: on-site self-service laundry facilities, free continental breakfast that included (at least while we were there) crepes, cereal and a wide variety of fresh fruits and juices. Our room featured very large windows that afforded great views, which I?m guessing are great regardless of the room location, a balcony, free internet, and an array of full-size appliances in the kitchen: refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and range (and to take advantage, a grocery store 2 ? blocks away). The staff was all young, energetic, unpretentious and very informative. Lastly, the location served as an ideal spot to discover Victoria by foot.

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Oswego in early August and we loved it! The location cannot be better: a couple of blocks from the harbor front and the Empress. The Oswego is brand new and the staff is showing pride through their friendly and efficient service. I appreciated the note in my room confirming the reservation they had made for us at a sushi restaurant as requested.
Our suite was very clean and well decorated. It felt very "boutique hotel". The deluxe continental buffet breakfast was great and the staff was very accommodating. I enjoyed the details: the water pitcher in the main lobby, the nice products in the bathroom and the blankets on the patio just in case the air is too fresh. We will go back if the price remain affordable. An excellent experience.
