There was an empty roll of toilet paper on the dispenser. The room smelled very musty, like mold. There were a lot of dead bugs in the bathtub, looked like no one had been in the room for a year. The bathtub was clogged and water could not run though. Had to take a shower in a foot of water. Ants were crawling around the toilet and in the cracks in the walls of the bathroom. There were also small bugs in the bed, and son complained of being bitten throughout the night by bugs. Really needs to be renovated or just turn down. We called before we arrived and no one answered for hours. Paid $**... should've paid $**.

We stayed for 3 nights. First night was not reserved as we arrived earlier. Next two I chose to get another room as in previous one bathroom door was not closing properly. We were there for the nights only, just bath, sleep and some cartoon network for my son. The only 2 negative things: loud a/c, not enough food for breakfast. Rate was great!

Me and my wife were traveling with my friends, and we stayed in this hotel for one night. The horrible thing is that, the next morning, when we left the hotel and back on the road, all four of us starts to itching. We found irregular small red lumps all over our bodies, itching and annoying. We and our friends were staying in two different rooms in separating buildings on the campus, but we had the same symptom. We didn't go to anywhere else during the stay. After we returned to home, we had to spend the whole weekend to clean, laundry, bleach and chill everything we brought on the trip. That is frustrating too. For this reason, I will give a '""terrible "" rate for my stay.

We arrived at the Fairway Inn at 3pm, after ten hours of traveling. Our room was not ready even though we had booked well in advance, arrived at check-in time, and the hotel was not nearly full. We had to wait in the parking lot with our ten-month-old son and his grandmother for 90 minutes while the maids finished up. Also, during our stay, the maids would open several rooms at one time while cleaning, leaving the rooms unsecure. We decided to leave the ""Do Not Disturb"" sign on the door for the rest of our stay to ensure our door wasn't propped open several hours at a time. The continental ""breakfast"" was ONLY toast- no fruit, cereal, etc. The daily rate was ten dollars a night more than quoted through our Travel agent. The hotel staff was cold, irritable, and not at all helpful in trying to get us into our room at check-in. The location was a nice equi-distance between the Everglades, Miami, and the upper Keys. Thanks to the location, we fortunately didn't have to spend much time in our room.

The room had a musty smell but was fairly clean. Staff was nice but I didn't require any of there assistance after I checked in so I didn't have any need to deal with them. There are other hotels that are located very close that were better.
