When I was approaching late in the evening, the owner was kind enough to not only give me directions to the hotel but also to a good place for some late-night eats. He proceeded to provide not just a comfy, clean, quiet room but also a good cup of tea - vital to a Brit abroad. He and his wife were very welcoming, do a great breakfast and did all they could to make my stay very enjoyable. I can't recommend them enough.

I highly recommend Americas Best Value Inn (Las Cruces) to anyone who wants a quiet, fair priced, and peaceful place to stay while in Las Cruces. The owners are very personable and always making sure you have what you need and that things are going well. Their inner courtyard is a nice place to rest, mingle with other travelers or go swimming... providing a safe access to your room. The rooms are a quiet and cool way to get out of the heat. There's plenty of counter space to put your stuff (everywhere) and not have to live inside your suitcase. Honestly, nobody paid me to write this (although I am a writer). I actually enjoyed my stay so much that I will from now on check with Americas Best Value Inn first whenever I plan trips to and through Southern New Mexico.

I stayed there one night in late July on my way out to Florida. The staff is extremely courteous and will bend over backwards for you. After speaking to the night manager, I discovered that it's a family run business and they take pride in their establishment and were eager to build a good reputation. The room I stayed had a few maintenance issues: a few patches of plaster which weren't painted over, a door that didn't close properly unless you put body weight into it. But despite the flaws, it was an enjoyable experience for the price. I got cable TV, free continental breakfast in the morning and a beautiful garden in the center.

Stayed for a week and hiked the many trails and parks surrounding Las Cruces. Hotel is in the middle of a major renovation, the front grounds and entrance are done and look good but the courtyard/pool area are a dust bowl. The pool is only a hole in the ground now. The neighborhood is older commercial and doesn't have a lot of dining options close by except for a good breakfast diner right next door. Decent laundry facility, breakfast OK, limited vending. Soundproofing of rooms is not that good. Staff super friendly and courteous.
