went to carlsbad caverns for the week end. stayed at white city resorts.the room was very large with a whirlpool tub.the staff was very polite and helpful. the water park and pool next door was woderful, my 5 year old daughter loved the kiddie pool, it has a big pirate ship that sprays water and a huge mushroom that pours water out the top.would highly recommend this motel we loved our stay here.

First room water would not shut off in bath tub. They sent maintenance who said yep water won't shut off, and moved us to the room next door. Off to the Bat Flight with 7 year old grandson. Returned after the bat flight to find A/C didn't work and this tub would not drain. Here's the maintenance man again with his plunger, yep drains slow, no tub stopper and the A/C does not work. 1015PM we were off to a third room with a wide awake grandson after the desk clerk checked the room BEFORE moving us. Staff was helpful saying the new owner just bought and was trying to fix things. The ONLY plus is it's close to the cavern. Stay in Carlsbad and drive the 20 additional miles, you'll get a room for half the price and breakfast too!Check all the rooms and close those that need any repairs

First room water would not shut off in bath tub. They sent maintenance who said yep water won't shut off, and moved us to the room next door. Off to the Bat Flight with 7 year old grandson. A tip for the owner, check all the rooms and close those that need any repairs - your "resorts" reputations sinking fast.

My wife & I with our three grandchildren stayed on 7-26-09. We only live 100 mikes away, but, I called early that morning to check out the price for the water park. The price was * dollars per person. I ask how much was A room? Sounded like A bargan. When we got their I checked in. The staff was very frindley. The room was OK, but not great. The water park was A joke. A kiddie pool with a couple of kiddie toys, and two slides for older kids. That was it! No pool. We were very disapointed, but we went to carlsbad caverns, and took the tour. Now that was great! After the three mile tour we went back to our room. Spent *dollars on lunch. The food and service was good. The grandkids spent A hour playing in the so called water park. Then we rested in our room for A couple of hours before the bat flight. We went to see the bat flight. That was interesting. Got back to our room at about 9PM, packed our stuff and left for home. Got home at 11PM. and slept in our own beds. Overall the white city resort & water park is A joke. You will get a better deal at motel 6. w

Stayed for one day in February 2009 to be close to Caverns. Booking promised wireless internet and free breakfast - neither were available or provided. No restaurant open just a snack bar. I know this was off season but this is a run down facility. I would recommend staying in Carlsbad with better hotels with pools and a lower price. I have stayed at many hotels thorughout the world and this is the first time I have written such a negative review.
