I'm not sure how people rave about this hotel. I chose the hotel because of the positive reviews. I had nothing but a terrible experience. The person at the desk assured me there was wireless, which I needed as I'm searching for real estate. After struggling to get on line, in a room with cracked mirror, toilet that wasn't sealed to floor so it moved all over when you'd use it, and a carpet with numerous wet spots which resulted in a funny smell, I returned to the desk and the fellow said they had a lightning strike nearby which had made connection difficult on their one network, but that things on the 2nd network was fine. I went back to the room and still had no luck. Returning to the desk, I asked for a room closer to the hub, which he did provide. He said he didn't understand why I couldn't get on-line. The new room was better, except for this toilet not being sealed either as well as a sign on the toilet saying lift rubber band attached to float to flush -- I tried getting onlin again, and again, and again, still not being able to get on-line. I decided to take my computer to him to prove his wireless wasn't working. As soon as I stepped outside, I had signals from 3 surrounding hotels. He just shrugged his shoulders when I showed this to him and said again that it should be working. Not being able to be refunded the 2 nights paid, I was forced to go to a local coffee shop to get on-line. Travelodge will never receive business from me again! Beware, check out rooms and connections for wireless if these are important to you!!!

The hotel was acceptable. Not nice, not romantic, not pretty. It was acceptable. The service was agreeble. However, I was awoken several times by the trains that honk and wail a 1/4 mile up the hill from the hotel.

When we got into our rooms (had 2 reserved) one room reeked of cigarette smoke (we had requested 2 non-smoking rooms). The hotel clerk was very accomodating - giving us another room that was satisfactory. Not great rooms, but the price fit! No frills hotel -- breakfast was nominal (i.e. no protein products, just carbs.) Location is great for travelers - close to all major highways into Flagstaff.
