    My friend and I were traveling to Nova Scotia on the CAT early on a Monday morning. We found this motel on the net with many bad reviews, however the last review was by the new owner. We called and she said that when she and her husband bought the motel she would have to agree with the reviews. They have been working hard to turn things around and they have. We had a clean comfortable room, new bathroom, new rugs, coffee, refridgerator, new mattress and TV. The rate was $38.00 IT doesn't get better than that you say? They recommended a great waterfront restaurant just down the road. We stayed another night a week later on the return trip home. The CAT got in around 7:45, we stopped at the same place for dinner that night and got to the hotel a bit late (around 9:45) to find that the owners were waiting up for us. They were getting worried about us (two women) . It REALLY doesn't get better than that. For a good night's sleep, comfortable accomodations and a safe place to spend the night stay at The Sunrise Motel....Carol Masotta and Liz Moore

    I booked this hotel and had to cancel about a week after booking (well before the scheduled trip). despite the fact that the information says nothing about a cancellation fee, ...

    I booked this hotel and had to cancel about a week after booking (well before the scheduled trip). Despite the fact that the information says nothing about a cancellation fee, and in fact just specifies that you have to cancel 48 hours in advance, I was charged a ** fee. Very deceptive. Beware.
