  The hotel had just opened for business, it looks like a new hotel from the ground up, nicely done, rooms are small but great waterfront view, continental breakfast was great, nice variety. Parking on the premises was not a problem at all, even for the 4th of July weekend. Indoor pool is small, only wish it had an outdoor pool instead or may be work out a deal with the hotel next door that has the outdoor pool with the restaurant and bar service. Very nice staff.

  We stayed at the Hampton South June 5-7th after it had recently opened. We were very disappointed and feel this hotel was not ready for business. First and foremost, I reserved a ""two room suite"" and when we arrived, we had a room that was very large, but definitely not two rooms. It was one very large, strangely arranged room. They did not have local information available, like take out or delivery menus. The coffee in the lobby was rarely filled, I decided at one point, to just get hot water and that was almost out as well. (And the hotel was not filled or even that busy) The fitness center consists of one treadmill and the pool is very small. The bathroom near the lobby is not maintained, they already are experiencing plumbing problems. All three stalls were unusable at one point and it's not kept very clean. The breakfast wasn't much. Pretty much a biscuit, egg, pastries and fruit both days and if you're lucky, you might be able to get coffee with it. I will say the staff was very friendly and very professional and maybe they'll get it together soon, but they just weren't ready yet. For families, there is a playground on the beach just in front of the hotel and the view of the ocean is beautiful.
