  The hotel's description says "The Aloft Houston by the Galleria is located within walking distance from the Galleria Mall, Museum District, Houston Zoo,Houston Business District, and a number of restaurants nearby." It's probably an hour and a half walk to the Zoo, and perhaps two hours or more to downtown. So, if that's walking distance for you, in a Houston summer, then this description is honest.

  I was in Houston last week for vacation. The hotel is so amazing. It's coveniently located near the Galleria, you can reach lots of restaurants and night clubs. The staff is friendly and the design makes you feel like home. I would definitely stay here again!!
